Siena College student Ashley Bavis wrote about the market for The Promethean’s Fall 2024 print issue, which was posted online in January 2025. She described the Saturday market, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., spreading out from Monument Square along River Street and nearby streets, and the indoor winter market at the Troy Atrium from November to April. She also wrote about vendors who travel from as far as Plattsburgh, Poughkeepsie and Connecticut, naming North Country Creamery, Maynard Farms and Aerogreen Urban Farm, along with local artists and the shops along the street.
“When you hear about the Troy Waterfront Farmers’ Market, think that but bigger.”
— Ashley Bavis, in The Promethean
