Vendors were all smiles as the market returned to its outdoor home on River Street for the first time that year, on a fine Saturday with big crowds. Nick Porsia of Spill’n the Beans said he liked being outdoors near downtown businesses; Christian Noe of Nighthawk’s Kitchen sold out; and Sam Hendren of Clover Mead Farm Organic Cheese said he drove two and a half hours from the Adirondacks because it was the best market in the state.

“It’s one of the oldest and best farmers’ markets.”
