Hudson Valley Magazine profiled the market as it marked more than 25 years, from about two dozen vendors in a River Street parking lot to nearly 100 and upward of 10,000 shoppers a week. Steve Ridler talked about visitors arriving from out of state and by boat, keeping agriculture at the center, and the market’s festival atmosphere.

“If you’re used to [the market], you’ll find what you expected. And if you’re coming for the first time, you’re probably going to find more than you expected.”

— Steve Ridler, market manager, in Hudson Valley Magazine
