The Times Union reported that the market would stay at its regular outdoor site, the Hedley Park Place parking lot, for May and June after the property’s owners said their reconstruction project wouldn’t interfere for at least half the summer; the market had previously thought it couldn’t use the site at all. Outdoor opening day was set for May 3. Promotions manager Jamie Felitte said the market was still looking at downtown sites for July and August that could become its future summer home, since a hotel and conference center were proposed for the property, the market’s home for the previous eight summers.

“Previously, the market thought it wouldn’t be able to use the site at all.”
