In this Food Diary, Hudson Mohawk Magazine’s Amy Halloran talked with Amy Braig-Lindstrom about the market’s early days. She and her husband, Matt Lindstrom, connected with Tracy Frisch of the Regional Farm and Food Project, and she stepped in as unpaid manager in 2000 when the first manager left.

She described building a community tent, a kids’ tent and a music tent, and the snowstorm Saturday when the Arts Center of the Capital Region called to ask whether the market would open: “The moment I knew it was a great success is we had this huge snowstorm.”
