As it moved outdoors for the summer, the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market added a Wednesday market on Broadway between Third and Fourth streets, 3 to 6 p.m., aimed at downtown workers. Manager Monica Kurzejeski said the Downtown Business Improvement District had approached the market after the Troy Neighborhood Market decided not to continue its Tuesday market; the new market would start with about 10 vendors. The Saturday market, at Riverfront Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., was set to be the biggest ever, with 67 vendors.

“We decided to do something different than the normal Saturday market.”

— Monica Kurzejeski, market manager, in The Record
