During the COVID-19 pandemic, The Record reported that the market would move from Russell Sage College to Troy’s Riverfront Park that Saturday, its second phase of “unpausing,” with more than 40 vendors. The story lays out the rules: hours of 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., optional 20-minute reserved shopping slots with walk-ups encouraged, a first hour for seniors, first responders and essential workers, caps of 150 and then 250 customers at a time, required masks, and no dogs except service animals. Market manager Steve Ridler said the goal was to return to River Street and Monument Square. The story ends with a full list of the participating vendors.

“This weekend is one more step toward normal.”

— Steve Ridler, market manager, to The Record
