On the market’s first outdoor Saturday of 2024, Hudson Mohawk Magazine’s Andrea Cunliffe took a walk through the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market and talked with vendors, including the Saratoga Peanut Butter Company, a small grain farm selling heirloom wheat, stone-ground flour and rolled oats, and Placid Baker.
The grain farmer said the farm follows organic practices without being certified yet and that “if you’re buying from us, your money is gonna stay in the area.”
