When the market moved into the Troy Atrium on Nov. 5, 2022, Hudson Mohawk Magazine’s Sina Basila Hickey asked Market Manager Steve Ridler and vendors how the move was going.
Ridler said attendance can drop “quite dramatically” the first indoor week even though the vendors and products are the same, described getting almost 100 vendors in through four entrances (“the magic happens before you all arrive”), and said the market hoped to stay in the Atrium but that redevelopment of the site could force it to find a new winter home. Vendors from Elias Coffee, Baba Duck and a West African food stand said the first indoor day was slower than outdoors.
