WOOC producer Dave Publow sat down with Liz Comitale (formerly Liz Hammond), who ran the market, about its interest in the city’s design charrette for One Monument Square and the Downtown Revitalization Initiative.

Comitale said the market would like a flexible space and that public parking and civic space matter, but declined to discuss other interested parties. Publow said he’d heard from unnamed sources that the city had backed off a direction that favored the market. Comitale said the market’s “placement within the downtown area has been very vital to our success over the years.”
