Writing in response to Kate Gurnett’s June 4 article “An organic approach to cultivating the land,” which profiled local growers Shanti Nagel and Sebastian Meier, Saratoga Springs reader P.J. Brendese III praised the then-new Troy Waterfront Farmers Market. He wrote that on a recent visit to “this new Saturday farmers market on River Street” he found excellent produce and baked goods and heard a local folk musician, and that with around 20 vendors and weekly special events from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the growing season, the market “should become a regular destination for many in this area.”
