Before the market moved its winter location to the former Price Chopper on Second Avenue in Lansingburgh on Dec. 5, 2020, Hudson Mohawk Magazine’s Corinne Carey, a Lansingburgh resident, asked vendors what they thought while doing her Thanksgiving shopping.
Reactions were mixed. Matthew Leon of Love and Mama Farm said his farm would skip the winter market because of the pandemic and sell through the market’s online shop. Others said they were excited, apprehensive about being indoors, or worried customers wouldn’t follow, though most planned to be there. Leon called the market “a great asset to any farmer who is lucky enough to get into it.”
