A short summer guide to the Saturday market: more than 100 local farmers and producers from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., live music at two locations (that week, Hot Tuesday/Mike Grosshandler at Monument Square and Tanager on Lower River Street), breakfast and other prepared food, and plenty of tomatoes in July. It noted that families and leashed dogs were welcome, that cards and SNAP benefits were accepted as well as cash, and advised visitors to park in a garage rather than drive to the market.

“Families are encouraged to attend, and even dogs are welcome on leash.”
