The market returned to Monument Square and the surrounding streets on May 7, 2022, after spending two summers in Riverfront Park to comply with COVID-19 safety mandates. With restrictions lifted, about 100 farmers and fresh-food vendors were back along several city blocks, along with new vendors, the return of the Makers Market, live music, prepared food, expanded eating areas and community tables. Well-behaved dogs were allowed again.

“For the past two years, I haven’t been able to go anywhere in Troy without someone asking me ‘When will the market be back on the streets?’”

— Market Manager Steve Ridler, in Spotlight News
