This front-page story reported that the Capital Region Economic Development Council had submitted a wish list of 29 projects totaling nearly $35 million in the state’s latest competition for $220 million in economic-development money, with winners to be named by year’s end. The Troy Waterfront Farmers Market appears on the region’s priority list, described on the jump page (A3) among the council’s funding requests: “$2.8 million to support a Troy waterfront farmers market as part of a $30 million development at the former City Hall site on the Hudson River” — a reference to the market’s planned space in the 1 Monument Square redevelopment. The bulk of the story covered the region’s broader list, which ranged from a Castleton paperboard mill to an Argyle cheese factory and an Albany Medical research alliance.
