As the market prepared to reopen on May 16, 2020, after pausing in March for COVID, Hudson Mohawk Magazine’s Andrea Cunliffe talked with Market Manager Steve Ridler about its temporary home in a Russell Sage College parking lot at First and Division streets.
Ridler described about 25 vendors, a one-way route, sign-up time slots, required masks, pre-bagged products, no dogs, and the first hour reserved for older shoppers, first responders and people with compromised immune systems. “It’s really become more of a shopping experience than a festival and an entertainment location and a social gathering spot,” he said.
