The Record announced free guided Sunday tours of two Rensselaer County farms that sell at the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market: Homestead Farms in Cropseyville (Rich, Linda and Sarah Bulson), a 150-acre organic farm in Brunswick offering potato digging and other harvest activities, and Wells Maple Farm in Nassau (Warren and Marion Wells), where visitors could see how maple syrup is made from 800 to 1,000 tapped trees on their 118-acre farm. The item gave tour times and driving directions to each farm.
“Maple is fun — and it’s also an addiction,” says Warren. “The only cure is tapping one more tree!”
