The notice previewed “Troy Book Day” at the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market, with a book sale benefiting the Troy Area Literacy Volunteers, a story time with the Troy Public Library and a signing by author Don Rittner of his book “Troy: A Collar City History.” It said more than 30 regular vendors would offer organic goat cheeses, produce, free-range eggs, baked goods, hormone-free meats, honey and maple, with music from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and that the market runs rain or shine through Nov. 23 at 433 River St. just north of the Green Island Bridge.
