A preview of the market’s return to Monument Square and the surrounding streets on May 6, 2023, with about 100 farmers and fresh-food vendors, the Makers Market, live music, prepared food, eating areas and community tables. It explained parking: streets in the market area are posted “No Parking” from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays from May through October; free parking is available at the State Street Garage, Riverfront Park, the Green Island Bridge lots and the Fifth Ave Garage; and the Uncle Sam Parking Garage had been demolished. It also noted the market’s 2019 American Farmland Trust People’s Choice award. The story ran with photos of the market (including a drone view) and the market map.

“The market is famed for its street festival atmosphere with about 100 farmers and fresh food vendors spread throughout several city blocks.”
