Community Tables at the Market

Creating and maintaining a sense of community is an important part of the Troy Waterfront Farmers' Market. Thousands of people visit us every Saturday, providing a great opportunity for outreach and education related to our regional food system, the environment, arts and culture, and/or government and community services.

In the past, community tables have provided anything from tips on preparing low-cost and local cuisine to low-cost animal adoptions. Be sure to check our weekly calendar to see what's in store. To inquire about scheduling a community table activity, please note the following guidelines:

Table space is donated to qualifying organizations as space permits.

Qualifying organizations are those whose primary activities include providing low- or no-cost consumer education and/or technical assistance services related to agriculture/environment, arts/culture and/or low-income and urban populations within the Capital Region.

NO direct selling, fund raising, political campaigning, petitioning or other solicitation may be conducted at community tables.

TWFM will provide a table and, when possible, access to electricity; organizations should bring their own table coverings, display materials, and seating.

To inquire about availability please send a description of your organization's mission, the proposed activity, and the desired date(s) to promotions@troymarket.org.
