Volunteer at the Market

Volunteers make our market merrier--be a part of the fun any or every Saturday!

Volunteer opportunities include: working in the Market Tent, set up, break down, surveys, customer counts, market ambassadors, sample days, market events...

Market Set Up (7:30 - 9 am) and Breakdown (2 - 3:15 pm): heavy to light lifting, with plenty of time to relax and shop the market. Join us before market starts to help set up tents and banners, or when market ends to break-down booths and help clean-up to leave Downtown beautiful.

Entrance Booth Attendants ( 9 am - 2 pm): flexible assignments, from staffing tables and greeting customers to light break down. We ask that you volunteer for at least a 2 hour slot, but any help is welcome! Work alongside us at the Market Information Tent exchanging tokens and answering customer questions. Sometimes Vendors will need your help at their booths, or maybe a customer needs guidance. Be a friendly face and a helping hand!

Market Data Collection (9 am - 2 pm): collecting necessary market data and information for future projects, grants, and other opportunities. Are you into numbers or do you have a school project you’re working on involving TWFM? We are always looking for individuals or groups to do customer counts, hold surveys, staff questionnaires, and other opportunities for collecting information about our bustling marketplace.

If you have an idea or want to participate, please feel free to contact volunteers@troymarket.org for a possible collaboration!

The rewards include lots of praise, fun, the chance to meet some great folks, and join a wonderful community! For more information, contact us or stop by the farmers’ market booth any Saturday!
